The MotoBlock Could Actually Be Real, Dubbed The Motorola Twist

Last night, we reported on a picture that landed into the inbox of PhoneDog’s John Walton. We didn’t know what to think of this perky little thing, at first, and we asked you guys to give your opinion on it. After just half a day of torturing ourselves trying to figure this thing out, someone has already done the work for us.

AndroidFrance got their hands on a screen capture today that gives us a run-through of specs. We derived the phone’s name from the phone’s tagline: Networking With A Twist. Supposedly launching June 2010 (to what carriers? we don’t know yet) this slide-up candy bar seems to be spec’d for the teen texter/tweeter/facebooker as its smaller screen size and resolution would gear to that market nicely.

One thing that stood out to me is that the phone would supposedly support a fully-functional multi-touch browser with – wait for it – flash support! I’m not sure how reliable that information is, but we’ll take anything at this point.

Here’s a quick list of specs that will supposedly power this social square:

  • Size: 67 x 67 x 15.8mm
  • Networks: WCDMA/HSPA: 850/1900
  • GSM/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900
  • Display: 2.8″ QVGA 320 x 240 Touchscreen
  • Web: HTML, Flash with multi-touch
  • Camera: 3mp
  • Video: Capture/Playback/Streaming, H.263, MPEG-4, WMV v9
  • Intenral Memory: 512 MB flash, 256 MB RAM
  • Memory card: microSD card up to 32GB
  • WLAN: 802.11 b/g
  • Bluetooth: 2.1 with EDR
  • GPS/aGPS
  • Battery: 940 mAh
  • Special Features: MOTOBLUR 1.5, 3.5mm audio jack, removable/customizable rear covers
  • Chipset: OMAP 3410, 700mhz

Well that was a lot to take in all at once! I’m not sure where this screenshot was taken, exactly, but it appears to be some sort of Motorola portfolio page – for what reason it exists, I don’t know, but I’m definitely going to take it with a grain of salt. To be honest, after reading the list of specs behind this little gem, it’s beginning to grow on me. Is that weird? Nah, didn’t think so.
