Samsung is launching in the US market the Captivate that is basically AT&T’s version of the Galaxy S smartphone. Running the Android 2.1 with TouchWiz UI, the new phone comes with a 4-inch large capacitive Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, 16GB internal storage, 3D graphics engine and six-axis motion sensor.
- The Samsung Captivate is powered by a 1GHz Hummingbird processor. It supports Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11n connectivity and quad-band GSM, tri-band HSPA 7.2Mbps network. This Galaxy S phone also include AT&T Navigator, which offers voice-guided and visual turn-by-turn GPS driving directions and Samsung’s Social Hub and Media Hub features.
The Samsung Captivate Galaxy S will be released in the coming months.
