Verizon has a number of happening smart phones lined up for the holiday season release but what comes across as a surprise is that BlackBerry Storm 2 is also a part of this brigade. No one even guessed that it will be as early as October 28 that the Storm2 will be available at Verizon Stores.
The phone that brags of threaded texting and the enhanced SurePress typing with Piezo technology will cost $180 on a contract. As far as the camera on the rear goes, the Storm 2 stations a 3.2 option and other specialities include a highly responsive touch screen and the ability to display orientation in a quick time.
It runs on BlackBerry OS 5.0 and is also blessed with Wi-Fi which collectively means that the Storm 2 is a pretty good package. The problem is the Bold 2 and the Droid (Android 2.0) are also lined up for a release sometime soon which means this is big marketing blunder from Verizon.
The Big Red could have done better by holding back the Storm 2 but since it will be here in a couple of days, all we can do is, acknowledge the fact.
