LG and iRiver have co-developed the LB4400 music-oriented mobilephone . The LB4400 features a 2.8-inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 3 Megapixel camera, integrated DMB TV tuner. As a music player, the handset supports MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, APE, FLAC, AAC, AAC+ audio files and offers Dolby Surround Mobile sound enhancement.

LG and Verizon Wireless shows off LG Ally smartphone

Users who have been hanging onto their hat for a stylish mobile phone may call it a day. Verizon Wireless and LG recently announced that the LG Ally will be available beginning May 20. The classic and trendy Ally brings forth a perfect combination of futuristic, elegant design, top-notch performance, and 3G Android power.

The Ally sports an ergonomic silver-and-black outer case, a large 3.2-inch tempered glass touch screen featuring touch vibration for tactile feedback, and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard with simultaneous touchscreen capabilities. Apart from this, the handset comes equipped with a microSD slot for up to 16 GB of memory, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.1 capabilities. For users who like to tune in to their favorite tunes, it offers a built-in MP3 and WMA music player with music library, repeat and shuffle features, stereo sound via headset or Bluetooth.

Furthermore, the mobile has five customizable home screens with shortcuts to text messages, e-mail, apps, favorite social networking sites and widgets. The LG Ally empowers its users with an access of up to 38,000 apps from the Android Market. The sensor is designed to adjust LCD backlight brightness depending on light conditions.

The smartphone includes S-GPS support for enhanced location accuracy in addition to turn-by-turn directions from Google Maps. Users can also access updates on Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook. For photography, the Ally dominates with a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera and camcorder with flash that further includes five different camera resolutions and three different video resolutions, zoom up to 4.0 times, and Macro Mode for detailed pictures.

The integrated camera also features Panorama for three guided sequential shots, scene mode for auto, portrait, landscape, sports and night settings, and Image editor with zoom, rotate, resize, crop and added frames and stamps.

The new LG Ally will be available in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores on May 20. It will come with a price tag of $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.

Iron Man 2 Technology Includes LG Transparent Smartphone (Video)

• Irom Man 2 has just made its official debut in US theatres this weekend and every tech freak out there must be pleased with the gadgets shown in the movie. Among them there’s a futuristic LG transparent smartphone that gets pictured below, plus a couple of other device that get detailed in the video at the end of the article.

• Kudos to the folks who created this great concept and we have to say we really loved the revolutionary interface shown on Tony Stark’s Microsoft Surface-like Coffee table. The virtual Lab and the Iron Man suitcase were probably the coolest technologies we’ve seen in a superhero flick in a long time.

China Mobile gets the LG GW880 Android Phone

Android sure is the buzz word in the world of smartphones and more often than not, most of these Android phones are heading to China Mobile (for some unknown reason). Speaking of China Mobile these guys have their own Android version of Google OS, dubbed the OPhone platform. And speaking of the OPhone platform is exactly what powers the new LG GW880 — the company’s first Android smartphone.

Expected to release sometime soon as a low cost competitor to Apple’s iPhone, the new LG GW880 comes with a bunch of features that include a 3.5 inch WVGA touchscreen display, has 512 MB ROM/256MB RAM, adds a 5 megapixel camera for accurate images and sports GPS abilities so that you don’t get lost while wandering the streets in Beijing.

The biggest drawback of the new LG GW880 is that it runs on China Mobile’s custom Android platform and that doesn’t come with Wi-Fi connectivity. Hence why the GW880 will come packed with Bluetooth …

LG VX9400 TV phone launches on Verizon Wireless

CTIA 2007 -- Verizon Wireless has launched its second MediaFLO mobile TV handset, the LG VX9400. Mobile TV has been a major talking point at the CTIAconference and LG has been showing off the VX9400 proudly. Sporting a unique form factor (the screen swivels into landscape orientation) and MediaFLO, the device is designed to work with V Cast TV.
